Owned by a teenage entrepreneur, Cakes by Katie aims to bring a smile to every customer’s face, one sweet treat at a time. By using fresh ingredients, collaborating with clients, and always incorporating a whole lot of love, customer satisfaction is guaranteed with every order.
MY STORY
I’ve loved being in the kitchen for as long as I can remember, but in early 2021, being quarantined provided me with the time to dive deeper into baking. I began testing dozens of recipes, techniques, and flavor combinations. As I fell more in love with perfecting my craft, I began posting more about it, and my friends and family took notice. People started requesting my desserts at their functions, and some of my friends even began paying me for my efforts. After this, I ended up securing my first official order with a close friend’s birthday cake in July, 2021. The event was a smashing success, which really encouraged me to begin taking my baking more seriously. I began setting up professional social media accounts and learned a little bit about marketing. Since then, I’ve been able to cater dozens of birthday parties, several corporate events, three weddings, and everything in-between! This has been an amazing journey so far, and I can’t wait to continue making my clients’ lives a little bit sweeter, one cake at a time.
